How are you feeling? It is important to drop in on yourself and validate your feelings with an "I am" statement. I am sad. I am low. I am lonely. I am frustrated. I am overly excited. I am nervous. I am tired. I am happy. Then decide if the feeling you are having matches the situation. Is there a problem? Does my reaction match the size of the problem? Am I thinking about worries that don't match the situation I am in right now? Am I following the group plan in a considerate, expected way? Zones of Regulation can help you figure out how you are feeling, and then can help you change that feeling if you do not want to stay in the zone you are in.
